Mississauga, Ontario is Canada’s sixth largest city with a population of over 713,000 and still growing. The name "Mississauga" comes from the Anishinaabe word Misi-zaagiing, meaning "[Those at the] Great River-mouth."
Mississauga is home to one of Canada’s largest modern shopping centres, Square One, and yet still manages to preserves it’s heritage , with many museums located all over the city. Mississauga is also the location for one of the busiest airports in Canada, Toronto Pearson Airport. In 2012, it handled 34,912,456 passengers, and 433,990 aircraft movements.
Mississauga features a blend of thriving commercial and business districts, alongside charming neighbourhoods. It also boasts thriving art communities, culture centres, and major sports facilities together with a spectacular waterfront.
